EXPERIENCE MARS
project

On display at the St.Louis Planetarium.

Where you can touch a piece of the Red Planet Mars

Dave Weitz of Davlan Engineering sizing up the display

The meteor head that holds the Mars meteorite is made of lexan,
a bullet proof plastic that was heated and molded to fit the meteorite like a glove.

Place your finger in the hole above.

The fins are made of aluminum and average 3 to 5 foot long.

Mark Blood assembling the display, he was one of the key designers of the project.
